Welcome to the first newsletter of the Daytona Blues Festival!

Our first exciting news is that tickets are now on sale!  And we have some special offers for all early ticket purchasers.  First, we are offering free t-shirts to the first 500 ticket buyers.  Our partners at e-tickets will be keeping count, and you will receive the shirt at the festival gate.  Also, early buyers can purchase a 3-day general admission ticket at the greatly reduced price of $50.  That's more than 30% off the gate price of $70, so don't delay!  Our VIP tickets have their own reduced rate.  Check our website for more ticket information.  Finally, we have special deals for any group wishing to purchase 10 or more advanced tickets.

We have secured a great location for our festival. We will be at historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark in beautiful downtown Daytona Beach.  The ballpark offers covered seats to escape the elements, uncovered seats for full enjoyment of our gorgeous fall weather, and plenty of room in the infield for anyone who wants to get up close to our amazing talent.  Look for more information in future newsletters regarding food and beverage choices and a special VIP area.
 

If you haven't received your copy of the April/May issue of Blues Revue magazine, go out and get one now!  Two of our acts are featured in their cover story: 5 New Faces You Should Know About.  Slide guitarist, and Friday night performer, Damon Fowler talks about his new album and his recovery from life-threatening injuries suffered in a 2005 auto accident.  Damon played with Derek Trucks when Derek was 18 and Damon was only 14.  He is not to be missed.  Sunday's opener, solo acoustic artist Samuel James, is also featured.  He is described as "an artist with a raw sound and witty lyrics."  Performing live, "he likes to tell stories and jokes and do the unexpected."  Sunday afternoon, we should all "expect" to be greatly entertained by this tremendous blues talent. Make sure to check out all of the artists who will be performing during the event.
